Updates & Bug Fixes: September 2023!
We are delighted to share some fantastic updates that we’ve recently rolled out on Muzie. Your feedback and experience have been invaluable, and we're thrilled to unveil features and fixes that will make your interaction smoother, more intuitive, and more efficient. So let's dive right in:
For Teachers
Easier Filtering Options for Assignments, Clips, and Whiteboards 🌟
No more endless scrolling! Teachers can now filter Assignments, Clips, and Whiteboards to only show those shared with the current student. Just toggle this new option on the search bar, and voilà!
For Students
Username Error Message 🐞
If you try to create a new account and your desired username already exists, you will now get an error message. This will help streamline the account creation process and reduce any confusion.
Improved Lesson History 🐞
Your Lesson history will now accurately display the actual elapsed time for each event, allowing for more precise tracking of your learning journey.
Edit Restrictions on Practice Sessions 🐞
We have patched a bug that allowed students on mobile to add time to an already completed practice session.
General Features and Fixes
Responsive Newsfeed Clicks 🐞
Clicking on an item in the newsfeed will now take you directly to the appropriate resource, some items were not responsive previously.
Microphone Check for Clips Recording 🌟
Before you start recording a clip, a check will be made to ensure your microphone is active. This feature, visible in the title bar, will help avoid any last-minute hiccups.
Easier Closure of Resources 🌟
We have added a ‘Close’ label to the 'X' button for Assignments, Clips, and Whiteboards, making it more user-friendly.
File Formats and Downloads 🌟
Clips will now download as mp4 files. If you’re downloading audio, it will be suffixed with -audio.mp4 for easier identification.
Red Bell Notifications 🌟
Our new Red Bell feature on the top menu bar will show notifications from Muzie. Not only will you receive the latest updates, but it also retains all previous notifications for your reference.
User Avatars 🌟
Personalize your account by uploading a user avatar. Please note that the file must be a .png and about 250k in size.
Fixed File Manager Issue 🐞
We’ve fixed an annoying bug that would display a blank page when opening a file in the file manager.
Name Change Save Button 🌟
If you change the name of a clip or a whiteboard, the save button will now become more obvious, making it easier for you to secure your changes.
Prevent Double Click on Record Button 🐞
To avoid any recording errors, we’ve implemented a feature to prevent double clicks on the 'record' / 'stop record' buttons when recording a clip.
